Northern Soul Today Moodboard

> For my Northern Soul today mood board I included the Northern Soul logo as I did with my original Northern Soul mood board to connect the two together. I included high end designer references such as Gucci and their Pre-Fall 17 campaign video which featured models and dancers performing classic Northern Soul dance moves like kicks, spins and drops. I also included a look from Topman Design SS16's runway as it features multiple components of traditional Northern Soul style such as the wide leg baggy Oxford trousers, a sports vest top and sew on badges. I also focused on high-street pieces such as women's wide leg trousers which are a more modern take on the Oxford trousers, and denim jackets featuring sewn on patches with one from ASOS featuring a sew on patch of a clenched fist, almost identical to the Northern Soul logo itself.

The concept of the shoot is a brother and sister visiting their favourite locations and stores in and around Sheffield to showcase family, whilst including references to Northern Soul and Sheffield street style through the places we visit and the garments we wear. As the brother and sister in the shoot is going to be myself and my brother we are going to visit our favourite street art locations as they are a big element of Sheffield and why we like the city. We are also going to visit our favourite vintage stores, Mooch Vintage and Vulgar Vintage as we both personally love to source our fashion from vintage stores and this is also a big trend around Sheffield and Sheffield street style and a popular trend in general. We are also going to visit Bear Tree Records as my brother in particular likes to collect music on records and we can include Northern Soul music references from here.
